Hey welcome to my page. My name is Erick Martinez and I am a student at CCNY. I came from the Dominican Republic at a young age and have been living in Uptown Dyckman. Being a New Yorker is literally one of the best things to be. first of all we got the best pizza and sandwiches at the deli. Another thing, we speak differently than others and its just better.Living in Dyckman there made me feel like I never left my country. It’s filled with dominicans everywhere you go. At the same time it is diverse. Filled with different Latino cultures and African american cultures as well. 

I enjoy playing basketball, and going on adventures especially with my friends. They are always doing something out of the ordinary but it is always positive vibes when we all around. They are one of my biggest support system encouraging me to chase my dream. What is that dream you ask?

I’m a car enthusiast and that is something that runs in my families blood. We enjoy watching automotive racing and watch movies like Fast & Furious. that movie started it all for me. I hope to go into a F1 race engineer for a racing team one day. Hopefully winning championships for them. Sometimes I would like to be a racer as well to get that adrenaline rush behind the wheel feels amazing.
